Updating Your Address in BWE

Select Benefits, Beneficiary Web Enrollment (BWE)

You can update your address and contact information in DEERS using BWE. Changes to an address can trigger changes in eligibility for various health care plans.

  1. Click the Contact Info tab, then click Update Contact Info.
  2. The Update Address Information page opens showing the name of the family member you selected.
  3. On the Update Address Information page:
    • Check the information in the sections for Residential and Mailing Addresses.
    • In the Contact Information section, if you enter an email address you can elect to receive your benefit correspondence by email.
    • Under E-mail For Other Family Members, you can enter email addresses for other family members.
    • Under Apply changes to the following members, you can select all family members you want to update to the addresses you entered in the previous sections.
    • Click Continue.
  4. On the Edit Address - Address Verification page:
    • View all the edited addresses and confirm that you entered the correct information.
    • If you need to edit more, click Edit Information for a family member.
    • In the Sponsor Work Zip section, you can check your TRICARE Prime Remote eligibility by entering the Sponsor's current work zip code. If this zip code qualifies for TRICARE Prime Remote and the family meets all other qualifying conditions, BWE will allow the beneficiary to enroll in that plan.
  5. Click Submit. Depending on the changes that you entered, you may see a new notification alert next to your name at the top right of the milConnect window. Select these notices to view them.
