About Your Notifications

After you sign in, milConnect displays the Notification icon if you have notifications or correspondence from the DoD.

Sponsors see notifications for themselves and their family members.
Sponsors cannot see correspondence or contact information for a dependent who has terminated their association to the sponsor, or who has set a restriction on displaying contact information.
When DoD correspondence or other information becomes available, the Notification icon displays on the Home page.

To view notifications:

Click the Notification icon. When you view a message, your notification number decreases by one (1). However, most messages re-display when you log in again. DoD correspondence remains available for six (6) months.
