More milConnect Search Methods
Here are some more advanced search methods that you can use to search milConnect.
The Search Results page lists the first 100 results in order of relevance. Pages containing the most occurrences of the search term appear at the top of the list.
- For the AND search listed below, you must enter AND in upper-case or it will be ignored.
- Enter one (1) or more search terms separated by AND This means "find all pages that contain the first AND second search terms", and so on. For example, if you enter milconnect AND tricare AND benefit the results show pages that contain all three (3) terms. This type of search returns the least number of results and might be less than you need.
- Combine searches using parenthesesFor example, if you enter (milconnect AND tricare) OR deers, the results show pages that contain both milconnect and tricare as well as any pages that contain deers.
- Enter a phrase enclosed in double quotesFor example, if you enter "sponsors and eligible family members", the results show pages that contain the phrase "sponsors and eligible family members".
- Search for a single character using ?For example, if you enter te?t, the results show pages containing the words test, text, and so on.
- Search for similarly spelled words using ~For example, if you enter bat~ the results show pages that contain terms like bat, cat, rat, mat, and so on.
- Search for a required word using +For example, if you enter +milconnect, the results show pages that contain the word milConnect. If you enter +milconnect deers, the results show pages that contain milconnect and may also contain deers.
