Basic milConnect Search Methods

Here are some basic searches that you can conduct in milConnect.

The Search Results page lists all pages that contain the search criteria you entered. Pages with the most number of matching terms display at the top of the list.

Enter one (1) search term.

For example, if you enter DEERS, the Search Results show all pages containing the term DEERS.

Enter one (1) or more search terms separated by a space.

This is the default search and means "find all pages that contains one term OR another term OR all terms". For example, if you enter milconnect tricare in the search box, the results show all pages that contain either milConnect or TRICARE or both.

You can also conduct the default search by entering OR instead of a space between each term. You must enter OR in upper-case or it will be ignored.

Search for multiple characters using *.

For example, if you enter dep*, the results show pages containing the words dependent, dependency, deployment, and so on.
