Public Home Page

From the Home page you can browse to all information available to the general public without signing into milConnect. You can also type keywords into the Search box to search for information.

Goals

The Home page displays a list of frequently pursued user goals.

Hover over a goal to view a brief description.
Select a goal to go to the appropriate milConnect page, FAQ, or associated DoD site to complete your task. You will be asked to sign in, if necessary.

Hot Topics

Displays information about the most frequently asked questions.

Did you receive correspondence?

Displays information about correspondence you may have received from the DoD about your benefits and records.

What's new in milConnect?

Announces new features or functionality accessible in or from milConnect.

Recent News

Shows headlines for recent news articles pertaining to your DoD benefits and records.

Footer

The bottom of the Home page contains links to Benefits Support, Technical Support, DMDC social media, and other DoD resources. If you are signed into milConnect, you can select links to connect with affiliated sites without signing in again.

FAQ Menu

The FAQs present the most complete and accurate benefits information available from the DoD. Select a topic from the FAQ menu. On any FAQ page, you can scan the sidebar and select a topic.

Signed In Home Page

After you sign in to milConnect, the top right of the page shows your name and whether you are signed in as a sponsor or a dependent.

The Menu bar displays the Correspondence/Documentation, Benefits, and FAQ menus where you can access your information by selecting an item from a menu.

If the DoD has sent you notifications pertaining to correspondence or other topics, the Notifications icon displays at the top right of the page. The number indicates how many notifications you have received.

Click a goal to go to a portlet, FAQ, or external site.
Click More Goals to view six (6) more tasks that you can accomplish.
