Sending a Follow-Up Message to OMPF Support
The OMPF Requests section on the Request Personnel File tab displays your processing and completed OMPF requests.
For a completed Navy and Marine Corps requests, you can send a follow-up message directly to the Service Repository regarding document issues. For example, if you did not receive all of the files you requested, or one (1) of the documents has incorrect information, you can send a follow-up message to correct these problems.
- Click the Request Personnel File tab to display the OMPF Requests section.
- Click Follow-up in the Actions column. The system displays the Send a Follow-up Message page, which shows the original Request ID, and if available, a list of each previous follow-up message with the date and text for Navy and Marine Corp requests, or an alert with follow-up information for Army and Air Force requests:
- Send FUM to Army: If you did not receive all of the files requested or are experiencing issues with the request; send a follow up message to usarmy.knox.hrc.mbx.tagd-ask-hrc@mail.mil and include request ID, name, and the submission date. Do NOT include SSN or other sensitive information in the message. You may also reach the Army HRC at Toll Free: 1-888-276-9472 (888-ARMYHRC).
- Send FUM to Air Force: You can fill out a form SF180 to request the documents that you did not receive. The SF180 can be faxed to 210-565-3124 or emailed to DP2SSM.Milrecs.Incoming@us.af.mil. For further information users can call the Total Force Service Center at 800-525-0102 or visit the Request Military Personnel Records Using Standard Form 180 page of the National Archives website.
- Send FUM to Coast Guard: If you did not receive all of the files requested, please contact HQS-SMB-CGPSC-MR-CustomerService@uscg.mil for further information. Please include your request ID, name, and submission date. Do NOT include SSN or other sensitive information.
- Enter your message in the New Message field and click Send Request. Your new message displays in the list.
