Qualifying Life Events (QLEs)

Select Benefits, Beneficiary Web Enrollment (BWE)

In some cases during the enrollment process, for example if you are enrolling outside of the normal enrollment period, you will be required to select a QLE to indicate the reason for the new or changing enrollment.

The system displays the following message:

Please select a reason for the new enrollment or change.

You must select a QLE event and the QLE effective date to continue the enrollment.

When you finish entering the QLE information, click Continue to rejoin the enrollment process, typically on the Enroll in TRICARE - Address Verification page.
