Age 21 and Age 23 Eligibility Change Brochures
The Age 21 and Age 23 Eligibility Change Brochures are available to:
- Current active duty, National Guard, or Reserve Service members on active duty or early alert, and their eligible dependent family members
- Current retired Service members and their eligible dependent family members, if the eligible dependent’s 21st or 23rd birthday is on or after 1 May 2012
In general, these brochures are available approximately 5-5 1/2 months before an individual’s approaching 21st or 23rd birthday. For example, brochures for dependent family members with March birthdays are available in mid-October of the previous year. Brochures remain available for up to one (1) year after the dependent family member’s birthday.
Sponsors can view all eligibility change brochures pertaining to their 21- and 23-year-old dependent family members. Separate brochures will be available in the case of twins or multiple children approaching age 21 or 23 at the same time.
Family members can view the eligibility change brochure of which they are the subject (or the addressee, in the case of an eligible surviving family member).
