About Your Information in DEERS

Select Benefits, Life Insurance (SOES-SGLI Online Enrollment System)

The information displayed in SOES, such as marital status and spouse name, reflects your information in DEERS.

• SOES retrieves the latest marital information on record from DEERS and then requires you to confirm its accuracy before continuing.
• Your spouse must be registered in DEERS to view or update FSGLI coverage.

If any of the information displayed in SOES is inaccurate; please update DEERS using one of the following methods.

Updating Sponsor Name

Please report to your Service Personnel Office to correct your name.

Adding a Spouse or Updating a Spouse Name or Date of Birth

Please report to your nearest military ID card issuing facility to update your spouse information.

Updating Spouse Address

If your spouse's address displayed in SOES is incorrect, you can use one of these online options to update their information in DEERS:

milConnect web portal (requires CAC, DS Logon, or myPay account)

ID Card Office Online (requires CAC or DS Logon account)

Note:  If you use the tools above to make corrections for your spouse, you might need to refresh SOES (sign out and sign back in) to see the updated information.
